Learning to Play

Individual lessons* are offered by qualified instrument teachers in:

• piano

• clarinet

• violin

• saxophone

• viola

• cornet

• cello

• trumpet

• recorder

• trombone

• piccolo

• tuba

• flute

• percussion (mallet and kit).

* Group lessons are offered for beginning recorder students only.

Lessons are thirty minutes in duration and are held between midday to 3:00p.m., with some places being available before or after school.

Lessons for continuing students generally start on the Tuesday of week 2, after Active Citizenship Week has finished. New students will begin as soon as possible after week 2 each year. Students will be notified by their tutors of the commencement date and time for lessons.
