Joining an ensemble

It is a condition of our Program, that when students have reached a suitable level of competency on their instruments, they join one or more of the school's performing ensembles.

Students new to the school who already learn an instrument and who elect to stay with their original instrument teacher are also more than welcome to join any or several of our ensembles.

String players must join the string ensemble which is appropriate for their level of expertise. Wind,brass and percussion players must join one of our bands. Interested string, 'wind, brass and percussion players are auditioned for places in our Orchestra, although they must maintain their string/band ensemble membership. Experienced recorder players may be invited to join our recorder ensemble.

Please see the calendar page, and school newsletter for dates, times and meeting places for ensemble rehearsals. New members are welcome to our ensembles at any time!

Ensemble Timetable 2008

Before school rehearsals start promptly at 8.00am so you must be there by 7.40am to help set-up and be ready start on time.
